The Role

The Assistant IT Manager supports the IT Manager in overseeing technology operations for Red Sea Global Hospitality.

The role covers infrastructure, cloud and endpoint platforms, cybersecurity, guest technology, and end-user support.

The position supports technology initiatives that improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

IT Infrastructure and Operations

  • Ensure reliable operation of servers, networks, cloud platforms, and hospitality applications.
  • Administer FortiGate firewalls and Aruba switching and wireless infrastructure.
  • Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and endpoint compliance.
  • Monitor performance, resolve outages, and maintain backups and disaster recovery.

Guest Technology

  • Optimize Wi-Fi, smart room controls, mobile concierge apps, IPTV, and digital key systems.
  • Partner with hotel departments to integrate technology solutions that improve service delivery.
  • Troubleshoot AV, digital signage, and event or conference room technologies.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and inspire the IT support team according to hospitality service standards.
  • Coach and train team members on systems, service protocols, and cybersecurity awareness.
  • Manage the IT helpdesk and resolve requests from staff and guests.

Projects and Innovation

  • Support PMS upgrades, POS integrations, IoT deployments, and other hospitality IT initiatives.
  • Collaborate with departments, vendors, and consultants to implement technology solutions.
  • Track project milestones, costs, and timelines.

Governance and Security

  • Support compliance with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and PDPA requirements.
  • Use Microsoft Defender and related Microsoft security tools for threat detection and endpoint protection.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, IT policies, vendor contracts, and audit logs.
  • Conduct security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

Sustainable IT

  • Support low-energy hardware, cloud-based systems, and paperless workflows.
  • Recommend AI, automation, and smart energy technologies aligned with sustainability goals.
  • Use analytics and reporting to identify efficiency and resource optimization opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of IT experience and at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Hospitality, tourism, or luxury retail experience is highly preferred.
  • Technical certifications and hospitality platform experience are advantageous.
