Assistant General Manager

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior management in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations and maintaining consistently high service standards.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the front-of-house team while fostering a professional, performance-driven culture.
• Maintain a strong floor presence and ensure an exceptional guest experience throughout service.
• Monitor operational performance, productivity, staffing levels, and cost controls.
• Work closely with Culinary and support functions to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Handle guest feedback and operational challenges effectively and professionally.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning within the operations team.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, health and safety requirements, and local regulations.
• Assist in driving revenue opportunities while maintaining appropriate control of operational costs.
• Deputize for senior management when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar senior operational leader in premium, luxury, or high-volume hospitality.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, guest experience, team management, and commercial performance.
• Ability to lead and develop multicultural teams in a fast-moving hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of operational KPIs, labor productivity, cost control, and revenue management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• A hands-on, organized, commercially aware approach with comfort taking ownership.
• Previous UAE or GCC hospitality market experience is highly preferred.
• Flexibility to work according to operational requirements.
