Assistant Engineer - QA

Authorities

• Inspect and approve incoming goods.
• Issue replacements for failed products returned under warranty.
• Qualify special processes.
• Stop a process or product when quality or product safety requirements are not met.

Education and experience

• A diploma with at least two years of QA, manufacturing, or product experience is required.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor of Engineering with at least three years of QA, manufacturing, or product experience is required.
• The role requires experience or knowledge across electrical, electronics, mechatronics, and mechanical items.
• Experience measuring mechanical and electrical components against drawings and specifications is required.

Technical qualifications

• Knowledge of standards, norms, and tolerances including IPC and DIN is required.
• Awareness of ISO 9001, IRIS, and ESD requirements is required.
• Knowledge of QC tools, 8D, FMEA, and control plans is required.
• Communication, computer, interpersonal, and practical craftsmanship skills are required.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required.

• The work location is the Wabtec office in Mysore, India.
