About the Role
AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Assistant/Deputy Manager - Finance to oversee daily financial operations of the freight forwarding business. The role includes accounting, credit control, cash flow management, financial reporting, compliance, and team supervision.

Responsibilities
- Supervise Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations
- Monitor customer credit limits and payment terms, review aging reports, and drive collection of overdue invoices
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts and monitor bank balances and working capital requirements
- Prepare monthly management reports including Revenue and Gross Profit Analysis, Branch/Business Unit Profitability, and KPI Dashboards
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local tax regulations, VAT requirements, and corporate policies
- Review freight cost accruals and carrier invoices, verify profitability of shipments and customer accounts
- Supervise finance executives and accountants, allocate work, monitor performance, and train staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Professional qualification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA)
- 5–8 years of finance experience, preferably in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or supply chain industries
- 2 3 years of supervisory or people management experience
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations, job costing, and profitability analysis
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel reporting
- Effective coordination and stakeholder management skills

Overview
- This role is responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations of the freight forwarding business, ensuring accurate accounting, cash flow management, profitability reporting, statutory compliance, and effective credit control.
