The Role
Working from our downtown Calgary office with the ability to travel to the beautiful Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge at least once a week, this position reports to the Controller and plays a key role in the Accounting team. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in the hospitality industry and possess strong leadership skills and the ability to foster great working relationships with the hotel team. They must also be highly analytical and organized and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Job duties
- Reporting to the Controller, the primary responsibilities are:
- Demonstrate leadership by nurturing, developing and inspiring the Accounting team.
- Foster great working relationships inspiring openness and trust with colleagues and other departments.
- Skilled communicator between the Accounting department and other key departments such as Front Office, Spa and Food and Beverage.
- Assist in the hiring and training of the Accounting team and conduct team member performance interviews.
- Preparation of monthly journal, closing entries, deadlines and schedules.
