Job Purpose and Role
Strengthen Khalifa University's research-intensive Mathematics Department through competitive research, high-quality teaching, graduate supervision, and academic service.
The Department seeks mathematicians at Assistant or Associate Professor level who can build an independent, visible research program and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Priority Research Areas
- Priority areas include computational and applied mathematics, partial differential equations, numerical analysis, and scientific computing.
- Additional areas include inverse problems, mathematical imaging, optimization, operations research, probability, statistics, and uncertainty quantification.
- The Department also welcomes work in mathematical foundations of data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, financial mathematics, quantitative finance, and risk.
- Other priority areas include quantum mathematics, quantum information, quantum computing foundations, mathematical modeling, and interdisciplinary applications.
- Exceptional candidates in other mathematics areas are encouraged to apply when their research strengthens the Department's scientific profile.
