OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Our production team is accountable for the production, assembly and testing of complex electronics equipment. Being proficient in the assembly of electronic products, our Assembly Technician’s form part of a highly skilled and knowledgeable team of Technicians and Engineers that deliver Advanced Navigation’s industry leading products.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating fibre Optic coil winding equipment and handling fibre optic materials
- Winding fibre optical coils for high grade navigation devices
- Assemble, calibrate and test electronic and optics assemblies
- Prepare and splice polarisation maintaining optical fibre
- Use adhesives to bond and seal products
- Work closely with the Engineering R&D team to develop new optical assembly processes and techniques
- Assist with the development and documentation of processes and procedures
- Assist with management of inventory and optical and electrical components
- Perform simple maintenance and service of optical assembly equipment
- Pack semi-finished goods for safe transport and process quality inspection of products
- Growth:
- Growing & developing with the Company as Advanced Navigation continues to evolve;
- Taking on additional duties & tasks, as directed, as the position evolves.
