Assembly Operative (FTC)

Job requirements

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, assembly line, production or engineering environment.

• Experience using hand tools, mechanical assembly equipment or production machinery.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures.

• Experience carrying out product inspections or quality checks.

• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.

• Experience working with plumbing, heating or engineering components.

• Knowledge of quality control processes and production standards.

• Experience using torque wrenches, hand tools or assembly equipment.

• Counterbalance forklift, pallet truck or warehouse equipment experience.

• MEWP/IPAF licence.

Job responsibilities

• Working on a production line assembling hot water cylinders and associated components.

• Fitting Temperature & Pressure (T&P) relief valves using specialist tools and sealants.

• Carrying out quality inspections and leak tests to ensure products meet required standards.

• Following assembly instructions and production procedures accurately.

• Identifying and reporting any defects or quality concerns.

• Repackaging, labelling and preparing finished products for dispatch.

• Safely handling materials and products throughout the production process.

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

• Contributing towards daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
