The Role
We are seeking an experienced Art Gallery Manager to lead gallery operations, exhibitions, artist relationships, collection management, sales, events, visitor experience, marketing coordination, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement gallery strategies aligned with artistic vision, commercial objectives, audience development, and organizational goals.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the gallery and ensure professional, welcoming, and efficient visitor experiences.
- Coordinate exhibition planning from initial concept and artist selection through installation, opening, programming, deinstallation, and artwork return.
- Work closely with Curators, Artists, Exhibition Designers, Art Handlers, Conservators, and external specialists to deliver high-quality exhibitions.
- Manage exhibition schedules, budgets, timelines, logistics, installation requirements, and operational resources.
- Coordinate artwork transportation, packing, storage, installation, handling, insurance, condition reporting, and return logistics.
- Ensure artworks are handled, displayed, stored, and transported according to appropriate professional standards.
