This four-year apprenticeship combines hands-on experience with formal training, giving you the opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople while working on critical energy infrastructure that helps power communities across Australia.

As an APA Apprentice, you'll work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (fitting) , setting you up with valuable skills and a long-term career pathway in the energy industry.

Working alongside skilled technicians, you'll gain experience across a variety of mechanical and maintenance activities, including:
Assisting with planned and reactive maintenance, inspections and repairs across the region
Learning to service, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment
Supporting mechanical work under the guidance of qualified team members
Monitoring the performance and operation of critical assets through routine inspections
Assisting with equipment upgrades, replacements and improvement projects
Maintaining easements and site facilities to a high standard
Attending TAFE and successfully completing apprenticeship coursework
