Ready to fuel your ambition and build a rewarding career as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic? Veolia is looking for a motivated Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Workshop team, with an immediate start available.
As an apprentice, you’ll learn from experienced mechanics while gaining hands-on experience servicing, maintaining and repairing a diverse range of modern trucks and equipment. You’ll play an important role in helping keep our vehicles safe, reliable and operating efficiently for our customers.
Assist with servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles and equipment
Develop skills in fault finding and mechanical diagnostics
Learn to use advanced workshop equipment and computer-aided diagnostic technology
Gain hands on experience in mechanics, hydraulics, electrical systems and welding while working alongside experienced mechanics
Carry out preventative maintenance under the guidance of qualified mechanics
Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean, organised workshop
Work as part of a supportive and experienced team
Complete a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Technology while gaining valuable hands-on workshop experience

Working in a close knit and motivated team, you’ll help service, maintain and repair Veolia’s modern heavy vehicle fleet. Your work will help ensure our vehicles operate safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory and Veolia requirements.
You’ll gain experience with a wide variety of vehicles and equipment, including:
Commercial service vehicles
Industrial service and high pressure water-jetting equipment
Fleet vehicles and related accessories
Waste management and specialist service equipment
A permanent, full time apprenticeship
