Applications Support Analyst

The Application Support role is a hands-on technical position responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancing enterprise applications and systems across the organisation.

The role involves monitoring application performance, resolving technical issues, conducting root-cause analysis and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to ensure system availability and reliability. It requires experience with technologies including C#, .NET, MVC, JavaScript and AWS services such as AWS SDK, CloudFormation, and Lambda. The role supports the organisation’s business objectives and follows NSW Government ICT strategy, standards and industry best practices.

Provide application support, troubleshooting and maintenance for enterprise applications and systems.

Investigate and resolve incidents, defects and production issues including root-cause analysis and problem resolution.

Monitor application performance, availability and reliability ensuring issues are resolved within agreed SLAs.

Support applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, AngularJS, React, Node.js and AWS services including Lambda and CloudFormation.

Collaborate with development, infrastructure and business teams to deliver application improvements ensuring compliance with NSW Government ICT standards and best practices.
