Role Overview

Talan is recruiting an IT Application Support Analyst for the London-based CIT Business Support Team.

The team supports the Commodities-Indexed Transactions Group and works on the trading floor in close partnership with CIT.

The Business Support Team provides front-to-back production support for the CIT commodities platform.

Workplace

  • This role is on-site five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the global commodities platform across pricing, risk management, market data sharing, P&L reporting, settlements, physical scheduling, trade confirmations, and regulatory reporting.
  • Proactively monitor and configure the system.
  • Analyze and resolve production support technical and functional issues.
  • Answer questions from CIT personnel and communicate system issues and changes affecting them.
  • Log incidents and advise the core development team on bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Participate in first-line support rotation, including early shifts and overnight and weekend on-call coverage.
  • Manage releases.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required.
  • The role requires direct engagement with trading, sales, middle office, back office, confirmations, market risk, and accounting teams.
  • Ability to develop diverse product and process knowledge is critical.
  • Knowledge of front-to-back processes.
  • Knowledge of commodities, P&L, or pricing is a plus.
  • Intermediate-level relational database and SQL skills are required.
  • Windows infrastructure and server knowledge is essential.
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and the Windows environment.
  • Python or other programming skills.
