About the Role
CNTXT is looking for an aspiring Application Security & Architecture Specialist to join its cybersecurity team. You will support secure software design, maintain DevSecOps pipelines, participate in threat modeling, and deploy cloud security controls.

- Assist in maintaining secure application architecture standards and reference models aligned with international cloud native best practices
- Help run, maintain, and monitor automated security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) inside continuous integration pipelines to enforce secure code deployments
- Contribute actively to structured threat modeling sessions (e.g., STRIDE) during the application design phase to catch structural flaws early
- Assist in deploying application level security configurations within major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS), focusing on Identity & Access Management (IAM), API security, and data encryption
- Act as a technical bridge, providing foundational guidance to engineering and product teams on secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and third party library tracking
- Take part in regular architectural reviews and security assessments of internal and client facing software products
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in IT or information security; highly competitive academic projects, internships, or conceptual background in secure software development encouraged
- Foundational exposure to deploying security solutions inside public cloud environments (GCP, Azure, or AWS) and understanding of virtualization
- Basic knowledge of Cryptography, Web/API/Microservices security, and common software security controls
- Familiarity with standard industry baselines and security standards, including OWASP Top 10, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS Controls
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Full professional fluency in written and spoken English

About the Role
- CNTXT is leading the charge in cloud computing and digital transformation across the Kingdom, looking for a highly motivated Application Security & Architecture Specialist to join the growing cybersecurity team.
- Working alongside senior architects, you will serve as a core technical team member, embedding security blueprints directly into the design and delivery of cloud, SaaS, and AI offerings.
What You’ll Do (Principal Duties)
- Support Secure Software Design: Assist in maintaining secure application architecture standards and reference models aligned with international cloud native best practices.
- Maintain DevSecOps & CI/CD Pipelines: Help run, maintain, and monitor automated security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) inside continuous integration pipelines to enforce secure code deployments.
- Participate in Threat Modeling: Contribute actively to structured threat modeling sessions (e.g., STRIDE) during the application design phase to catch structural flaws early.
- Deploy Cloud Security Controls: Assist in deploying application level security configurations within major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS), focusing on Identity & Access Management (IAM), API security, and data encryption.
- Collaborate with Development Teams: Act as a technical bridge, providing foundational guidance to engineering and product teams on secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and third party library tracking.
- Support Application Integrity Reviews: Take part in regular architectural reviews and security assessments of internal and client facing software products.
Who You Are (Qualification Requirements)
- The Experience: 0–2 years of experience in IT or information security. Highly competitive academic projects, internships, or a conceptual background in secure software development are highly encouraged to apply.
- Cloud & Security Exposure: Foundational exposure to deploying security solutions inside public cloud environments (GCP, Azure, or AWS) and an understanding of virtualization.
- Technical Fundamentals: Basic knowledge of Cryptography, Web/API/Microservices security, and common software security controls.
- Framework Awareness: Familiarity with standard industry baselines and security standards, including the OWASP Top 10, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS Controls.
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Language Skills: Full professional fluency in written and spoken English.
Certifications (Preferred or In Progress)
- While not mandatory, having or actively pursuing foundational certifications will give you a massive advantage: (ISC)² tracks: CSSLP, CCSP, or CISSP; GIAC tracks: GCSA, GWAPT, or GWEB; Associate/Professional level AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud security certification.
