About the Role
TOTVS Leste is hiring an Application Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams and oversee software development initiatives. The role involves managing the full SDLC, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving digital transformation.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement application engineering strategies, technical roadmaps, development standards, and governance frameworks
- Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, solution architecture, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Product Management, Solution Architecture, DevOps, QA, Cybersecurity, IT Operations, and other teams
- Manage engineering teams by providing technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development
- Establish software engineering best practices, coding standards, design patterns, code review processes, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and version control procedures
- Monitor KPIs including application availability, deployment frequency, sprint velocity, defect rates, code quality, customer satisfaction, system performance, and development productivity
- Oversee application architecture, API integrations, cloud deployment, microservices, scalability, security, and performance optimization
- Ensure compliance with software security standards, data privacy regulations, IT governance policies, and quality assurance processes
- Drive digital transformation initiatives through cloud native architectures, AI, automation, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and modern software engineering practices
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, cloud providers, software partners, consultants, and external development teams
- Prepare engineering reports, technical dashboards, project updates, architecture reviews, executive presentations, and strategic recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, application development, systems engineering, or related technical roles
- At least 2 years of experience managing software engineering teams or application development projects
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object oriented programming, cloud computing, APIs, microservices, DevOps, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application security, and system integration
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or similar
- Experience with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Proficiency with Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases
- Master's degree or professional certifications (AWS, Azure, PMP, Scrum Master, etc.) are highly advantageous
