Role Overview
Contribute to enterprise API initiatives connecting applications, data, and services across complex environments.
Build reliable, secure, and governed integration solutions while collaborating with architecture, development, QA, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain APIs using IBM API Connect.
- Design RESTful APIs and manage their full lifecycle from development through retirement.
- Configure gateway policies, API security, products, plans, subscriptions, and consumer access.
- Integrate APIs with enterprise applications, databases, middleware, and external systems.
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot connectivity, security, integration, and production issues.
- Support deployments across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
- Prepare API specifications, technical documentation, deployment documents, and support procedures.
- Participate in testing, defect resolution, code reviews, design reviews, and API governance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in API management, API development, and enterprise integration.
