Role Overview
Join ASOS Technology's Customer Experience team to improve a large-scale Android shopping application.
The application has more than 5 million active users worldwide, over 10 million downloads, and a 4.8-star average app store rating.
The Android codebase is primarily Kotlin and uses modern Android technologies and modularized architecture.
Technology Environment
- Kotlin is used for more than 95% of the codebase, with plans to remove Java completely.
- The codebase uses Android Jetpack, Kotlin Coroutines, Flow/StateFlow, RxJava in legacy areas, Hilt, Jetpack Compose, and extensive UI and unit testing.
- The team continues to experiment with technologies including Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile and Jetpack Compose.
What You Will Do
- Deliver high-quality projects using best practices and guidelines within cross-functional teams.
- Work with the design team to implement clean designs that respect the Android platform.
