Role Overview
Join a data and analytics project as an Analytics Engineer focused on scalable solutions within the AWS ecosystem.
The role combines data transformation, analytical modeling, enterprise dashboards, semantic layers, and self-service BI.
Key Responsibilities
- Query and transform large-scale datasets with Amazon Athena, Redshift, S3, and AWS Glue Data Catalog.
- Design analytical data models, including star schemas, SCD tables, and incremental models.
- Develop optimized SQL queries, views, CTEs, and window functions.
- Optimize workloads through partition pruning, query tuning, and schema optimization.
- Build ETL and transformation pipelines with Python, pandas, and boto3.
- Develop enterprise Tableau dashboards, data stories, executive dashboards, and drill-through analytics.
- Define semantic layers, KPIs, metrics, and metadata mappings.
- Support self-service BI and data-driven decision-making.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Redshift, Athena, S3, and Glue.
- Advanced SQL skills and at least 2 years of hands-on Python experience.
- Strong data modeling knowledge, including star schemas, SCD, and incremental models.
- Knowledge of Parquet and ORC columnar formats.
