About the Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Analyst – Planning plays a key role in supporting the Transport planning function within the Transguard group. This role is responsible for overseeing route planning and the execution of transport plans across business units, while also providing comprehensive support for the deployment and optimization of the Transport Management System (TMS).

- Resource Utilization: Maximizing vehicle and driver usage improves ROI on fleet investments.
- Penalty Avoidance: Timely deliveries help avoid SLA breach penalties and customer compensation.
- Indirect Impact:
- Operational Efficiency: Better planning leads to fewer delays and disruptions, reducing indirect costs like rescheduling or customer service escalations.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Use of Power BI and analytics supports strategic cost-saving initiatives and budget forecasting.
- Customer
- Develop and execute daily transport plans, optimizing routes and schedules based on operational requirements and vehicle availability.
- Monitor real-time vehicle movements using GPS tracking systems, respond proactively to delays, route deviations, or breakdowns.
- Analyze transport data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to track KPIs such as delivery performance, vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and SLA adherence.
- Collaborate with drivers, depot teams, and customer service to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
- Maintain accurate records of transport activities including trip logs, GPS data, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven decision-making and process enhancements.
- Predictive Analytics: Uses historical data to forecast demand, peak times, and resource needs

- Planning & Scheduling: Streamlines daily transport operations using data and automation.
- Real-Time Monitoring: GPS integration allows dynamic adjustments to routes and schedules.
- Reporting & Compliance: Ensures accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory standards.

- Technology Integration: Leverages GPS systems and Power BI for smarter, data-driven transport planning.
- Automation: Reduces manual planning efforts through system-driven route optimization.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifies inefficiencies and implements corrective actions based on performance data.
- Selection Criteria
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in Transport planning, logistics coordination, or fleet management.
- Strong proficiency in GPS tracking systems and transport management software.
- Advanced skills in Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic operational needs.
