Role Overview
The Analyst, IT Risk & Controls supports Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and other complex risk and compliance initiatives.
The role assesses control design and operating effectiveness, supports management testing, and helps identify and address business risks pragmatically and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of the business, industry news, and risk best practices for assigned coverage areas.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders and Internal and External Audit partners.
- Perform process walkthroughs and evaluate control design and operating effectiveness.
- Coordinate interviews, evidence collection, documentation requests, and other audit fieldwork.
- Coordinate and support IT and business process SOX audits.
- Understand business and IT SOX compliance and operational risks with stakeholders.
- Support control matters related to complex projects and initiatives.
- Monitor IT and business control performance and support risk management initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- The role requires 3–5 years of experience coordinating IT US SOX compliance activities and maintaining IT risk and control matrices or frameworks.
- A bachelor’s degree or above in IT, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Excellent understanding of and experience with US SOX and IT General Controls is required.
- Candidates should be able to self-motivate, organize, take ownership, multitask, and prioritize work effectively.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Preferred Skills
- Risk management and IT audit experience are preferred.
- Experience in complex agile or DevOps environments is preferred.
- CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CIA, or ITIL certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with COBIT, ITIL, NIST, ISO 27001, ISO 20000, or ISO 22301 is a plus.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud, JIRA, Confluence, Optro, Workday, Excel, or Google Suite is a plus.
