MUFG Bank, Ltd. is hiring an Analyst, Legal Counsel in Mumbai, BKC.
The role supports MUFG Bank and certain group entities or branches in India as required.
The position provides legal support to corporate and investment banking activities.
Core responsibilities
- Provide legal advice, transaction support, and legal risk management for corporate and investment banking business in India.
- Support corporate banking, investment banking products, project finance, aviation finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance, export credit finance, commodity finance, and ESG finance.
- Support capital markets transactions, including syndicated loans and bond transactions.
- Liaise with clients, external lawyers, and transaction parties.
- Review and negotiate administrative, vendor, IT, and other contracts.
- Collaborate with legal and business teams in India, other regions, and MUFG local legal units.
- Provide pragmatic, commercially sensitive, timely, and cost-effective legal support.
- Advise business units on material legal developments and brief senior Legal management on major issues.
- Support group-wide projects, litigation matters, legal office management, and external counsel coordination.
- Support the Head of Legal, India with regional and country initiatives and legal resource management.
