This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability.

SUMMARY

The Executive Housekeeper is a key leader within the rooms division responsible for setting and achieving cleanliness goals and quality cleanliness standards of all areas within in the hotel. The Executive Housekeeper must impact all elements of the department from standards of cleanliness and associate morale to budgetary goals and inter-departmental relations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Overseeing daily operations of the housekeeping & laundry departments - Ensure 4 diamond cleanliness standards are met in guest rooms, public spaces, and back of the house areas - Review financial statements on a daily/monthly basis - Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniform. - Actively participate in annual capital and budgetary planning - Provide immediate response to all guest problems and correspondence - Coach, council, and mentor associates in the department to achieve goals - Have a working knowledge of all housekeeping cleaning equipment, chemicals, and preventive maintenance programs for such machines. - Responsible for training all associates on proper usage and handling of cleaning equipment and chemicals - To establish a high degree of excellence in the Housekeeping Department - Supervise a team of 140+ team members, including supervisors, Assistant Managers and the Director of Laundry - Provide associates with a weekly schedule by Mondays - Work closely with other departments, such as Engineering, Laundry, and the Front Desk to ensure guest satisfaction and 4 diamond quality - Process payroll on a weekly basis - Attend hotel required meetings - Ensure expenses do not surpass budgetary controls - Control overtime by properly scheduling - Complete weekly supply inventory/purchasing - Ensure compliance with all Hilton Brand Standards and Quality Assurance Audits - Thorough understanding of SALT (Service & Loyalty Tracking) Software - Ensure all employee reviews are completed on time - Review out-of-order rooms daily and ensure room type availability for arriving guests - Develop LSOPs as needed - Adhere to and enforce rules and policies of the department and hotel - Ensure and monitor that proper key controls are in effect. - Work with Director of Laundry to ensure proper laundry pars/inventories are taken - Communicate with engineering to ensure needed projects are being completed by monitoring inventory - Ensure all uniform room expectations are being met - Ensure Lost & found articles are stored properly and logs are maintained. - Abide by all FMLA and ADA laws

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • - Must be reliable; willing to work PM hours, weekends and holidays - Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written. - Ability to use the OnQ property management system, Microsoft excel/word, and ADP - Able to use different types of chemicals. - Requires the ability to manage different personalities in a high stress environment - Understanding of operating a budget and maintaining budget

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- High School Education Required - Previous Management Experience in Housekeeping - Working knowledge of all federal, state, and local laws governing equal employment opportunities and civil rights.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • - Be able to lift 50lbs - Be able to push/pull carts that weight up to 400lbs - Bend, stoop, stand, and walk long distances for the duration of the shift
