Aircraft Painter

Job Description

• Review assigned task cards with Certifying Staff to gain full understanding of work scope, priorities, documentation requirements, and cautions prior to starting work.
• Prepare work areas, materials, tools, equipment, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) required for assigned tasks.
• Perform aircraft painting, paint repair, and surface finishing activities strictly in accordance with approved task cards, maintenance data, and company procedures.
• Ensure proper tooling and equipment are drawn from stores, used correctly, and returned in good condition.
• Regularly report task progress to Certifying Staff and promptly communicate any defects, issues, or deviations.
• Manage the safety of own assigned maintenance tasks, ensuring all published mandatory precautions are taken.
• Take positive steps to protect self and others in the work area from possible injury, including correct use of GSE and PPE.
• Adhere to Human Factors principles and fatigue management practices.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Minimize wastage of consumable materials and part repair costs.
• Work effectively as part of the maintenance team, supporting additional duties as assigned.
• Work under pressure and within rotating shift patterns as operationally required.
