Aircraft Handler/Aircraft Technician

Brief description:

Our client belongs to the Aviation and Aerospace industry based in Dubai, UAE.

They are currently seeking an Aircraft Handler to support their Engineering and Maintenance team in carrying out day-to-day aircraft servicing, ground handling, and technical assistance activities.

Aircraft Handlers report to their Supervisor for administration matters and when assigned to a particular job will report to and work with an Authorised Engineer or Technician.

They are required to work on company aircraft and any other aircraft as assigned by Client as non skilled trade assistants.

They are expected to work safely and promote safe work practice.

The prime duty of Aircraft Handlers is to keep the exterior surface of the Client Fixed

Wing fleet of aircraft in a condition befitting a VVIP operation.

· To take the aircraft fuel samples

· To check tire pressures of aircraft

· To open the hangar door and remove chocks

· To give marshalling signal to pushback operator during the aircraft push out.

· To arrange all the requirements for aircraft arrival.

These are marshalling bats, nose chocks, all landing gear pins and steering pins.

· Incase a Technician is not available during the arrival time then the Aircraft

Handlers marshals the aircraft for parking.

· To top up engine oil when required.

· To top up hydraulic system when required.

· To top up APU oil in the presence of a Technician.

Normal work inside the hangar

· Assist the Technician during wheel change

· Arrange all the equipments required for wheel change

· Jack the aircraft

· Assist Technician in brake change

· Lubricate all the landing gears

· Lubricate left and right side trailing edge flaps transmission ball screws

· Lubricate left and right hand side body landing gear truck beam pivot bolt.

To assist the Technician to carry out water sterilization of the aircraft.

6.

Vacuum waste toilet service

Service the vacuum waste toilet as per cleaning procedure (crushed ice method)

Assisted by Licenced Engineer to carry out the Biobar test on the aircraft.

· Opening the engine cowling keeping them in a stand

· Work on hydraulic panel to open it and depressurized the system.

· To open the APU cowling and top on the APU oil in the presence of the

· Technician.

· To lubricate engine blade

· Aircraft general familiarisation

· FOD/ Awareness

· Human Factors

Aircraft Handlers assist Engineers and Technicians with all types of Technical work on every aircraft.
