Modern Freight Company LLC in Dubai is seeking an Air Freight Operations Coordinator to manage import/export shipments, documentation, carrier negotiations, and customs compliance.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily air freight operations for import and export shipments
- Ensure optimal operational efficiency through use of airline, carrier, and ground handling portals
- Coordinate shipment movements from booking through final delivery
- Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, agents, transport providers, customs, and customers
- Attend cargo deliveries, customs inspections, and examinations as required
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues
- Ensure accurate preparation, verification, and execution of cargo documentation
- Monitor compliance with customs regulations, airline requirements, IATA standards, and company policies
- Negotiate rates and service agreements with airlines, carriers, and vendors
- Coordinate transportation requirements to maximize resource utilization
- Ensure job costing and invoicing are completed accurately
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and ad hoc operational reports
Requirements
- Minimum 3 5 years experience in Air Freight Operational process within Freight Forwarding industry in UAE
- Good knowledge of Air operations

Air Freight Operations
- Coordinate and manage daily air freight operations for import and export shipments.

Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure accurate preparation, verification, and execution of cargo documentation.
- Monitor compliance with customs regulations, airline requirements, IATA standards, and company policies.
- Ensure all operational activities comply with ISO procedures and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and transactions.
Carrier & Vendor Management
- Respond promptly to customer rate and service requests.
- Negotiate rates and service agreements with airlines, carriers, and vendors.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with carriers and service providers.
Customs & Regulatory Coordination
- Maintain liaison with customs authorities, DNATA, airlines, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure customs guarantee deposits are monitored, reconciled, and cleared within timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all customs and regulatory requirements.
Special Cargo Handling
- Ensure correct handling and documentation of Dangerous Goods (DGR), perishables, valuable cargo, and special shipments.
- Verify compliance with airline, IATA, and regulatory requirements for special cargo.
Transport Coordination
- Coordinate transportation requirements to maximize resource utilization and service efficiency.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of cargo.
Financial Responsibilities
- Ensure job costing and invoicing are completed accurately and within timelines.
- Verify operational costs and supplier charges before invoicing.
- Support revenue optimization through cost control and billing.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and ad hoc operational reports.
- Maintain and analyze operational statistics and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
Customer Service
- Provide professional, responsive, and customer focused service.
- Maintain positive relationships through proactive communication and problem resolution.
- Address customer inquiries accurately and within agreed timelines.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3 5 years experience in Air Freight Operational process within Freight Forwarding industry in UAE.
- Good knowledge of Air operations.
