Role Overview
Drive research and development of computer vision technologies for next-generation energy systems.
Explore new visual intelligence methods, develop prototypes, and transform fundamental research into scalable solutions.
Investigate automated defect detection, autonomous operation, and visual asset analysis.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Conduct applied research in computer vision, machine learning, and 3D perception for the internal R&D roadmap.
- Develop novel algorithms, models, and computational methods from ideation through prototype implementation.
- Evaluate scientific literature and identify technology-transfer opportunities for energy-sector applications.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to apply computer vision technologies across Siemens Energy.
- Publish and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Build experimental pipelines, perform systematic testing, and document scientific results.
What You Bring
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field focused on computer vision or image processing.
- A Master's or PhD degree is preferred.
- At least two years of computer vision research and development experience.
