AI Design Facilitator and Forward-Deployed Engineer II

Helping shape the FDE approach: working with the team on where and how human-centered design principles fit into the FDE method, from how we frame a problem to how we validate a prototype.

Early-Stage Forward-Deployed Engineering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AI solutions for real-world problems. Engage in rapid prototyping and iterative development to validate concepts and refine solutions.

Product Incubation: Lead the incubation of new AI products, from ideation to deployment. Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to bring innovative ideas to life and ensure successful product launches.

Client-Facing and Internal Enablement: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance and support on AI initiatives. Additionally, enable internal teams by sharing knowledge, best practices, and facilitating collaboration.

A successful candidate would possess these skills:

A real design background: user research, user testing, human-centered design, or a closely related discipline, applied to actual project work.

Comfort running workshops and facilitating groups, and translating technical material into exercises a mixed audience can follow.

Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree.

1+ years experience in user research, user experience design, human-centered design, or a closely related design discipline.

1+ years experience with generative AI tools for software development, user experience, design, and product management.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Ability to travel up to 50% on average based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred

Experience with Design and GenAI Software such as Figma, Abobe Creative Suite, Claude Code, Codex

Knowledge of Design best practices and methodologies.

Knowledge of software development best practices and agile methodologies.

Familiarity with product management and user experience design principles.

Experience using AI systems in the design process (e.g., AI-assisted research, prototyping, or design workflows).

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $82,600 to $162,800.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
