This role offers the opportunity to work across mission and technical stakeholders to support digital stewardship, data governance, and workflow improvement initiatives.
Work you'll do
As a Project - Data Management Engineer III on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for supporting data stewardship, governance, and digital modernization efforts for mission-focused programs.
Serve as a liaison for data stewardship activities across mission and technical teams.
Coordinate with stakeholders across offices to support consistent stewardship practices and address cross-functional data issues.
Monitor and validate data assets for quality, compliance, and alignment with established standards throughout the digital use case lifecycle.
Map, document, and analyze data workflows and business processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and data integrity.
Gather technical requirements and user stories, identify technical gaps, and coordinate communication among technical teams, leadership, and requirements owners.

Qualifications
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in data governance, digital stewardship, data management, or a technical field
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Arlington, Virginia
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Preferred:
- Experience supporting data governance or data stewardship activities for federal programs
- Experience documenting business processes, data workflows, or data lifecycle activities
- Experience gathering technical requirements, developing user stories, or coordinating with cross-functional technical teams
- For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,000 to $188,400.
- You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
