Job Purpose
Plan, organize, and achieve post-extrusion production targets for quantity, recovery, efficiency, and budgeted cost.
Support dispatch and export activities for the overall extrusion plan and budget.
Job Context
Alupuram Works operates two extrusion presses installed in 1955 and 1965, with plant capacity increased to 13,800 tons per annum.
The plant produces a wide range of alloys and shapes for defence, bridges, automobile, marine, and electrical applications.
The role supports post-extrusion planning, dispatch, and excise functions while maintaining finished-goods inventory against business targets.
Planning and Dispatch Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily with post-extrusion, production, marketing, sales, customers, logistics, and the Head of Planning and Dispatch.
- Plan packing and dispatch according to marketing requirements and customer-specific practices.
- Coordinate timely dispatch documentation and material movement across machine centers.
- Manage WIP, warehouse, finished-goods, and packing-material inventories within planned levels.
- Support OTIF achievement through faster WIP processing and extrusion planning coordination.
