Overview and Objectives of the Position
- Lecturers at Murdoch University Dubai are responsible for delivering high quality education to a diverse cohort of students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- We are seeking an experienced and passionate Adjunct Lecturer in Marketing to join the School of Business.
Key Result Areas
- Delivering high quality teaching across designated undergraduate marketing units.
- Preparing and facilitating lectures, tutorials, workshops and online learning activities.
- Creating an engaging, inclusive and student centred learning environment.
- Assessing student work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Applying contemporary teaching methodologies and learning technologies (e.g., Moodle or equivalent Learning Management Systems).
- Integrating current marketing practices, industry trends and real world case studies into teaching.
- Supporting students in developing analytical, strategic and problem solving capabilities.
- Ensuring compliance with Murdoch University's academic policies, procedures and quality standards.
- Participating in moderation, academic meetings and other teaching related activities as required.
- Maintaining professional currency through ongoing engagement with contemporary marketing practice and scholarship.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
- Master's degree in Marketing or a closely related discipline.
- Undergraduate qualification in Marketing.
- PhD in Marketing or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- Minimum 2–3 years of successful university level teaching experience, preferably in undergraduate marketing units.
- Experience in curriculum delivery, assessment and student engagement.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems such as Moodle or similar platforms.
Industry Experience
- Applicants should possess relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Global Marketing, Strategic Marketing, Services Marketing, Retail Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Consulting, Brand Management, Digital and Integrated Marketing, Marketing Strategy and Planning
Mandatory Teaching Requirement
- Applicants must have prior teaching experience at the university level.
- Applications from candidates without tertiary level teaching experience will not be considered.
