Position Overview
- NHU Riyadh invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in History for the Fall 2026 term.
- Adjunct instructors are hired locally to teach specific courses in which they have particular expertise.
- They normally teach no more than half of the full time load.
- Compensation is competitive and paid on a per course basis.
- Courses are primarily offered on ground.
- Eligible candidates will be asked to present a teaching demonstration (via Zoom).
You will
- Teach one or more introductory Modern World History lectures, focusing on cultural trends, social and economic interactions, and historical methods.
You need
- A Master's or Ph.D. in History or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching at the college or university level is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prepare courses with best pedagogical practice in mind.
- Experience with instructional technology.
- Experience with previous online/remote or hybrid teaching, using web based instructional software, or other learning management systems.
- Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly adopt the Canvas LMS.
