Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Acquiring Project Manager to lead and manage payment acquiring projects, including merchant onboarding, POS implementations, payment gateway integrations, digital payment solutions, and acquiring platform enhancements.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, acquiring partners, payment networks, merchants, technology teams, and vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end to end acquiring projects from initiation through deployment and post production support.
  • Coordinate with acquiring banks, payment processors, card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), merchants, and third party vendors.
  • Lead project planning, scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and project governance activities.
  • Drive implementation of POS terminals, SoftPOS, QR payments, payment gateways, e commerce acquiring, and value added payment services.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Facilitate business requirement gathering and translate them into detailed functional specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, EMV, card scheme regulations, and internal security standards.
  • Manage UAT, production deployment, and stakeholder sign offs.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Support merchant onboarding, integration testing, certification, and go live activities.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and technology teams to optimize acquiring processes.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience managing acquiring, payment processing, or card payment projects.
  • Strong understanding of Acquiring Business and Merchant Services, Payment Gateway Integration, POS & SoftPOS Solutions, Card Payments (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), EMV and PCI DSS Standards, Digital Wallets and QR Payments, Merchant Onboarding Processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
