The Accounting Senior Specialist manages end-to-end financial operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
The role covers payment requests, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger management, tax compliance, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Financial Operations
- Process payment requests, verify supporting documents, secure approvals, execute payments, and maintain records.
- Maintain financial records, document accounting policies, and strengthen internal controls.
- Prepare financial statements, regulatory reports, board materials, and responses to reporting inquiries.
- Review journal entries, manage closing activities, resolve discrepancies, and maintain general ledger integrity.
Accounts and Compliance
- Analyze financial data, perform account analysis, oversee journal entries, and complete account reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and the complete payroll cycle, including validation, reconciliation, approvals, and disbursement.
- Prepare and file tax returns and support audit-related policies and procedures.
Improvement and Planning
- Support accounting team activities, special projects, workflow improvements, and reporting enhancements.
- Develop budgets and financial plans and support annual budget consolidation and periodic forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
- A master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred.
- At least four years of accounting or finance experience focused on reporting and analysis is required.
- Proficiency in accounting software and familiarity with financial reporting standards and tax regulations are required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities are required.
