General Purpose of the Job The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including ledger management, account reconciliations, cash management, accruals, fixed assets, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, cash management, accruals, fixed assets, accounts receivable and payable oversight. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Science, or Business Administration.
Advanced knowledge of accounting platforms such as: Sage, Great Plains, FundEZ, Quickbooks, etc.
with Accounting B.I. packages such as Great Plains, Solomon, Quickbooks, Cognos, etc.
with Microsoft Suite (e.g.
Excel, Word, etc.)
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in finance and/or accounting in a healthcare environment.
A28 Clinic/FQHC, healthcare network, or hospital setting experience strongly preferred.
with cost reporting, such as Medicaid and/or Medicare preferred.
CPA preferred.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Accounting software including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, B.I. software, Outlook, Word, etc..
