About the Role
Metaworld Consultant is seeking an Accounting Consultant to manage financial operations, ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations, and support business development. The role requires bilingual English and Chinese (Mandarin) skills, a CA/CPA/ACCA/CTA certification, and at least 1 year of accounting experience.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up to date accounting records in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Perform general ledger reconciliation, accruals, and journal entries
- Review and sign off on complex advisory reports, tax assessments, entity structuring, and due diligence reports
- Handle invoices, payments, and receipts; ensure proper documentation and authorization
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with clients on outstanding payments
- Support treasury functions and cash flow forecasting
- Support corporate tax, VAT filings, and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant government authorities
- Implement and maintain internal accounting controls and financial procedures
- Conduct variance analysis, expense tracking, and provide insights to management
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CA / CPA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year of professional accounting experience (internship or full time, UAE experience preferred)
- Prior experience in Big Four firms or large multinational corporations is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of UAE accounting standards, VAT, and corporate tax
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or Oracle)
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Fluency in English and working proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin)

Job Overview
