Responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining accounting and administrative policies, processes, and systems in line with company standards and regulations
- Managing all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banks, payroll, inventory, fixed assets
- Maintaining General Ledger accounts and monthly account reconciliations
- Preparing statutory financial statements and related disclosures under local accounting standards
- Preparing IFRS financial reporting for group consolidation purposes
- Establishing and maintaining a robust compliance framework and upgrading key business controls
- Being responsible for all tax activities with emphasis on tax compliance, tax risk management, and tax reporting
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, preferably with an MBA or master’s in Finance
- Professional qualification such as CFA, CMA, CA, or ACCA
- At least 10 years’ experience in accounting, tax, and consolidations with 1 2 years in a managerial role
- Very strong understanding of International GAAP, Qatari Tax, Qatari VAT, IFRS
- Previous experience of market leading ERP systems, Financial Management and consolidation systems (Oracle preferably)
- Fluent in spoken and written English

The Role
- Linum Consult’s client is a major international company within the energy sector.
- They are seeking an Accounting & Tax Manager with significant consolidation experience to be based in Doha, Qatar.
Responsibilities

Profile
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, preferably with an MBA or master’s in Finance.

- Must have worked in a sector with common international holdings and international structures.
- Very strong understanding of International GAAP, Qatari Tax, Qatari VAT, IFRS.
- Previous experience of market leading ERP systems, Financial Management and consolidation systems (Oracle preferably).
- Big4 experience in Audit, Tax, and Assurance would be advantageous.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with any Arabic language skills an advantage.
