Responsibilities
- Prepare, assist in negotiating, and administer various contracts
- Review all contractual notices of claims and provide contractual advice
- Interact with clients, contractors, vendors, and consultants on contractual matters
- Review tender documents and draft contract documents for compliance
- Investigate potential contractual problems and recommend corrective action
- Prepare key contractual correspondence and maintain records
- Facilitate preparation of contract changes and oversee variation orders
- Review claims against the client and prepare responses and counterclaims
- Ensure warranties, bonds, insurances, securities are in place and compliant
- Draft contract amendments for consultants and contractors
- Assist in preparation of monthly progress reports
- Manage a team of contract administrators
Requirements
- University degree in an engineering field or quantity surveying
- At least 10 years of experience in Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying
- Strong technical knowledge of FIDIC contracts
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic
- Qatari nationality required due to Qatarization

The Role
- Linum Consult’s client is seeking a bilingual Arabic and English speaking Contracts & Commercial Manager from the energy industry to join them in Doha, Qatar.
Responsibilities

- Reviewing all contractual notices of claims and providing contractual advice.

- Reviewing tender documents and draft contract documents prepared by others.
- Investigating potential contractual problems and recommending corrective action.
- Preparing key contractual correspondence and maintaining records.
- Facilitating the preparation of contract changes and overseeing variation orders.
- Reviewing any claims against the client and preparing responses and counterclaims.
- Ensuring that all warranties, bonds, insurances, securities are in place and compliant.
- Drafting contract amendments for consultants and contractors.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly progress reports.
- Managing a team of contract administrators.
Profile
- University degree in an engineering field or quantity surveying is essential.
- At least 10 years’ experience in Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying.
- Preferably have experience in the energy or power industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
- Due to Qatarization, only Qatari nationals will be selected.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic is essential.
