Responsibilities
- Advising and supporting the Drainage Networks Operations & Maintenance Department on asset management
- Providing expert technical, strategic, and operational advice on all aspects of Asset Management
- Advising on improvements on risk management, operational output and performance
- Playing the lead role in ensuring the company’s Vision & Values become part of the Department culture
- Providing ongoing review of objectives, risks, and KPIs, and taking actions for development and improvement
- Ensuring department plans and performance are within approved budget and timescales
- Ensuring highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Engineering from a North American, West European or Australian University
- 30 years’ experience in the water, wastewater industries
- Substantial experience of international Asset Management best practices
- Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Office
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience of change management and/or business transformation is preferred
- Previous experience of working in Qatar and/or other Gulf countries is preferred

The Role
- Linum Consult’s client is seeking an Asset Management Advisor with a background in water/wastewater/drainage assets to join their team in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advising and supporting the Drainage Networks Operations & Maintenance Department by providing a positive contribution towards achieving the company’s mission and corporate strategy objectives
- Advising and supporting the Department by providing expert technical, strategic, and operational advice on all aspects of Asset Management
- Advising on improvements on risk management, operational output and performance within various departments
- Playing the lead role in ensuring the company’s Vision & Values become part of the culture of the Department
- Providing an ongoing review of objectives, risks, and KPIs, and taking actions for development and improvement
- Ensuring that the department’s plans and performance are within the approved budget and timescales
- Ensuring the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity are maintained
PROFILE
- Degree qualification in Engineering obtained from a North American, West European or Australian University
- 30 years’ experience in the water, wastewater industries, ideally within the public sector
- Substantial experience of international Asset Management best practices
- Knowledge and experience of change management and/or business transformation is preferred
- Demonstrable history of creating and embedding a new asset management department
- Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Office
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience of working in Qatar and/or other Gulf countries is preferred
