Automotive Accountant-An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting business operations through proper accounting practices, compliance, and financial analysis.Having experience in the garage industry is a top priority.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
- Post and process journal entries
- Update accounts payable and receivable
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process supplier invoices and payments
- Issue customer invoices and track collections
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts
3. Bank & Ledger Reconciliation
- Reconcile bank statements with company records
- Maintain general ledger accuracy
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
4. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Generate profit & loss statements and balance sheets
- Assist in financial audits
- Manage daily petty cash for small workshop expenses
- Approve and record small purchases (tools, cleaning materials, etc.)
- Reconcile petty cash at the end of each day or week
