Role Overview
The Accountant and Operations Officer supports the finance and administration team with daily accounting and administrative tasks.
The role focuses on accurate financial record-keeping and is intended for an individual developing accounting skills.
Bookkeeping
- Review and verify daily transactions and confirm that invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents are attached before data entry.
- Enter daily transactions, including expenses, bank deposits, transfers, purchases, and related shipping charges, into the relevant software.
- Organize and file accounting documents and related attachments.
Financial Statements and Reconciliation
- Review, verify, and correct monthly purchases when needed.
- Post transactions between software modules.
- Reconcile monetary accounts, including banks, petty cash, and transitory collection accounts.
Other Duties
- Prepare and submit a daily report covering activities and achievements to the supervisor.
- Provide recommendations on resource usage and disbursements.
- Participate in and comply with the Medicals International Quality Management System, aligned with ISO 9001:2008 standards.
