Role overview

Join the Accounting team within the Finance department of JERA Nex bp, an international offshore wind company.

Own end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of legal entities within a multinational group.

The role is hands-on and covers transactional processing through statutory reporting and audit management.

Key responsibilities

  • Own accounting for assigned legal entities, including invoice posting and payments, accruals, month-end close, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure tax compliance and assist with tax return preparation.
  • Manage accounts receivable, cash management, and liquidity planning.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements with local in-country support.
  • Lead statutory audit management and support group audit requirements.
  • Drive process improvement and automation opportunities within the accounting function.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Solid working knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience with VAT and CIT processes is essential.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and automation, with strong accuracy, ethics, and integrity.
  • Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) is a plus.
