Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in freight forwarding/logistics to manage financial transactions, ensure accurate reporting, and support daily accounting operations.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with shipping, logistics costs, and related documentation in the UAE.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain accounts payable & receivable related to freight operations
- Handle invoicing for shipments, customs, and logistics services
- Reconcile supplier invoices, shipping charges, and client payments
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations
- Coordinate with operations team for shipment costing and billing
- Manage credit control and follow-ups with clients
- Assist with audits and financial documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- 2+ years experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry
- Knowledge of shipping documents (BL, invoice, packing list, etc.)
- Familiar with VAT in logistics sector (import/export)
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho, etc.)
- Willing to relocate
- Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per hour
