Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions for e commerce operations
- Reconcile sales from online marketplaces, websites, and payment gateways
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer refunds
- Monitor inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Prepare and file VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations
- Reconcile bank accounts, merchant accounts, and general ledger balances
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years experience in the UAE
- At least 2 years in an e commerce or online retail environment
- Experience reconciling transactions from platforms such as Amazon, Noon, Shopify, or other e commerce marketplaces
- Familiarity with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, PayTabs, Telr, Amazon Pay, etc.) and merchant account reconciliations
- Familiarity with VAT regulations and UAE accounting practices is an advantage

Overview
