Job Summary

Daily Accounting Operations

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Verify invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
• Process supplier invoices and employee reimbursements.
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents.

Sales and Revenue Reconciliation

• Reconcile daily café sales from POS systems such as Foodics or similar.
• Verify cash, card, online delivery, and bank settlement transactions.
• Reconcile sales from Talabat, Careem, Noon Food, and Deliveroo where applicable.
• Investigate and resolve sales discrepancies.

Payables and Receivables

• Process supplier payments according to approved payment schedules.
• Maintain supplier statements and reconcile balances.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables where applicable.
• Prepare payment requests and maintain payment records.

Inventory and Cost Control

• Monitor inventory transactions and stock movements.
• Reconcile inventory reports with purchases and consumption.
• Support monthly stock counts and inventory audits.
• Monitor food cost and beverage cost reports.
• Verify purchase orders against supplier invoices.

Bank, Cash, and Payroll

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintain petty cash records and reconciliation.
• Monitor cash deposits from outlets.
• Assist with payroll preparation by verifying attendance, overtime, and leave records.
• Coordinate with HR regarding payroll-related documentation.

Reporting, VAT, and Audit

• Assist in preparing monthly profit and loss reports, balance sheet schedules, cash flow reports, revenue analysis, and expense analysis.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain VAT-related documentation and assist in VAT return preparation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books and Xero.
• Experience with POS systems such as Foodics or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and basic reporting.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or an equivalent qualification.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry.
• Experience with multi-outlet operations is an advantage.
