Accountant - Construction Experience

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage **day-to-day accounting operations** including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Handle **project accounting**, including cost allocation, budgeting, and tracking project expenses.
• Prepare and monitor **project-wise cost reports** and profitability analysis.
• Maintain accurate records of **invoices, LPOs, subcontractor payments, and supplier accounts**.
• Ensure timely preparation of **monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports**.
• Reconcile **bank statements, supplier statements, and intercompany balances**.
• Monitor and control **cash flow and project expenditures**.
• Assist in **VAT filing** and ensure compliance with **UAE tax regulations**.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams for **cost verification and approvals**.
• Support **internal and external audits** by providing required documentation.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in **Accounting, Finance, or related field**.
• **5–10 years of accounting experience** in **construction or contracting companies**.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Project accounting
• Cost control & budgeting
• UAE VAT regulations
• Experience working with **ERP/accounting software** (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Proficiency in **Microsoft Excel** (advanced level preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications.
• Experience handling **large-scale projects or multiple project accounts**.
• Prior experience in UAE/GCC construction sector is highly preferred.
• Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
