Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports
- Monitor financial details to ensure compliance with legal requirements, including VAT filings, JAFZA submissions, and other regulatory obligations
- Handle data entry, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and vendor accounts regularly
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting exercises to support business planning
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision making
- Liaise and follow up with banks regarding existing and new financial operations
- Maintain organized financial records and assist in audit preparation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA, ACCA, or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, financial reporting, and local compliance standards
- Proficiency in SAP Business One (SAP B1) or similar accounting software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in English (written and verbal)

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
- Monitor financial details to ensure compliance with legal requirements, including VAT filings, JAFZA submissions, and other regulatory obligations.
- Handle data entry, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and vendor accounts regularly.
- Review reconciliations and verify the accuracy of all financial transactions.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting exercises to support business planning.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision making.
- Liaise and follow up with banks regarding existing and new financial operations.
- Maintain organized financial records and assist in audit preparation.
- Perform administrative and reporting support functions within the finance department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Mandatory).
- CPA, ACCA, or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification (Mandatory).
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- Candidates applying for Senior Accountant responsibilities should have a minimum of 5 years of UAE accounting experience.
- Prior experience handling accounts for a similar type of company is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, financial reporting, and local compliance standards.
- Experience with JAFZA regulatory submissions is an advantage.
- Proficiency in SAP Business One (SAP B1) or similar accounting software.
