Responsibilities
- Track live project expenses, variation orders, and material deliveries; maintain WIP reports across multiple project sites

- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, maintain general ledger entries, handle multi currency expenses, and monitor cash flow
- Calculate, prepare, and file quarterly UAE VAT returns; maintain financial documentation for audits and corporate tax compliance
- Process monthly staff and labor payroll in compliance with MOHRE via WPS
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, or ACCA) heavily preferred
- 4 8 years of accounting experience in UAE construction, contracting, MEP, or interior fit out industries
- Deep understanding of IFRS relevant to construction revenue recognition (e.g., IFRS 15)
- Advanced fluency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
- Experience with enterprise accounting/ERP software
- Practical experience with UAE VAT law, WPS systems, and local banking portals

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Project Cost Control & WIP Tracking: Track live project expenses, variation orders, and material deliveries. Maintain and update Work in Progress (WIP) reports across multiple active project sites to protect profit margins.
- Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Review subcontractor payment certificates, manage accounts payable (AP) cycles, verify invoices against purchase orders, and release timely payments according to contractual milestones.
- General Ledger & Cash Flow: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, maintain precise general ledger entries, handle multi currency expenses, and monitor operational cash flow across different subsidiaries.
- UAE Regulatory Compliance & Tax: Calculate, prepare, and file quarterly UAE VAT returns. Keep exact financial documentation prepared for end of year corporate audits and maintain compliance with newer UAE corporate tax regulations.
- Payroll Administration: Process monthly staff and labor payroll in compliance with the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) via the Wages Protection System (WPS).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, or ACCA) are heavily preferred.
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 4–8 years of accounting experience specifically within the UAE construction, contracting, MEP, or interior fit out industries.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) relevant to construction revenue recognition (e.g., IFRS 15). Advance fluency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and standard enterprise accounting/ERP software.
- Local Skills: Prior practical experience navigating UAE VAT law, WPS systems, and local banking portals.
