Job Overview
The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain compliance with local regulations.
The role requires experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, month-end closing, and VAT filing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivable and follow up with customers to ensure timely payments.
- Handle Accounts Payable by processing supplier invoices and ensuring timely payments.
- Maintain the General Ledger and post accurate journal entries.
- Perform month-end closing activities and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Prepare and file VAT returns according to UAE regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and other financial records.
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and month-end closing processes.
- Experience with VAT filing in the UAE is mandatory.
