Job Description
The employer is seeking an experienced Accountant with 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in the construction industry.
The role requires knowledge of day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, project-related expenses, and construction accounting practices.
Accounting Responsibilities
- Manage invoices, receipts, payments, expenses, books of accounts, and financial records.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
- Monitor project expenses, costs, and budgets.
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor accounts.
- Prepare payment schedules and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with VAT and Corporate Tax-related accounting requirements.
- Coordinate with project and procurement teams regarding project costs and expenses.
- Maintain records and transactions through the company’s ERP software.
- Generate financial and accounting reports from the ERP system.
- Ensure documentation and compliance with company accounting procedures.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE is required.
