Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Doha, Qatar for 1 Wok CDP, 1 DCDP, and 2 Commis team members within Aura Group’s culinary operations.
The role involves preparing and cooking menu items to brand standards, with wok and general hot kitchen responsibilities depending on the position.
Daily tasks include organizing and setting up stations, ensuring ingredients are properly stored and ready for service, and maintaining consistent taste, presentation, and portion control.
Team members are expected to follow food safety and hygiene guidelines, assist with inventory and stock rotation, and support smooth kitchen operations during service.
Collaboration with the broader kitchen team, clear communication, and adherence to company recipes and procedures are essential parts of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong Food Preparation and Cooking skills, including ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures.
- Solid Culinary Skills with experience in wok cooking or hot kitchen operations, depending on role level (CDP, DCDP, Commis).
- Knowledge of Hygiene and food safety standards, with commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Effective Communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in high-volume or branded F&B outlets.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and stand for extended periods.
- Team-oriented mindset, reliability, and willingness to learn and follow guidance from senior chefs.
- Relevant culinary training or certification is an advantage; local food safety certification is a plus.
